Our Story
We Asked the Question. Then We Answered It.
Retirement Recreated was born from a single moment of honesty — and a whole lot of adventure that followed.
Meet Jerri & Steve
Hi, I'm Jerri — and this is Steve, my partner in life, travel, and everything in between.
The Question That Changed Everything
A few years ago, we were doing all the things you're supposed to do. Good careers. Responsible savings. Checking every box. But somewhere between the alarm clocks and the Sunday-night dread, we started asking a question we couldn't un-ask: Is this really what the next 20 years look like? Are we ready? Do we have enough to retire?
We Didn't Wait for Permission
We didn't have all the answers. We didn't have a perfect plan. What we had was a deep conviction that retirement didn't have to mean slowing down — it could mean speeding up toward the life we actually wanted. So we started designing it. One idea at a time.
The Adventures That Followed
Since then, we've discovered that the world is far more accessible — and far more generous — than we ever imagined. We've lived it. And we keep living it.
Why We Built Retirement Recreated
We built these resources because we kept meeting others who were close — so close — to the life they wanted, but stuck in the planning paralysis of 'not yet.' The 156 Ideas guide, the Book, the Playbook, the AI Generator — every piece of it exists to help you move from 'someday' to 'now.'
What We Believe
The Principles We Live By
Freedom First
We believe retirement is not a destination — it's a design challenge. And the best designs start with freedom as the non-negotiable.
Real Over Perfect
We share the real trips, the real lessons, and the real numbers. No highlight-reel-only inspiration here.
Leading the Way
This community was built for others who are done waiting for someone else to give them permission to live fully.
